Julia Bianco Schoeffling is the author of The Art and Business of Acting for Video Games, the industry’s first such guide. Julia serves as the COO and Casting Director at The Halp Network, where she specializes in voice and performance capture casting for future technologies, including video games, AR/VR, new media, location-based entertainment, and more. She often works alongside Hari Leigh — a voice and performance capture director known for her work on some of the industry’s most beloved AAA titles, including Donkey Kong Bananza, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and III, Fortnite, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Together with their combined backgrounds of casting, audio, acting, writing, and indie filmmaking, Julia and Hari will shine a light on of the business of acting and breaking into PCAP, all while staying actor and craft-focused, to help set you up for success to build 3-dimensional characters that will best serve a game’s narrative.
