Community Spotlight – Justice Slocum

Justice Slocum, hailing from Fresno, California, ventured to Los Angeles with a passion for performance and a hunger for growth. After earning his degree in Theater from the University of Southern California (Fight On!), he dove headfirst into the world of acting, taking workshops, including ones at The Halp Network, to sharpen his skills. His voice has brought life to video games, commercials, and animation, each role a new stepping stone on his artistic journey. Always striving for more, Justice’s sights are set on bigger opportunities—and one day, dreams of collaborating with friends on a project where they have full creative control.

Q: What’s one physical thing you absolutely can’t live without on your career or journey?

Water. Without it I would be dehydrated and die. Definitely a must. Bonus if it has liquid iv in it!

Q: What’s something that happened this year that you’re really proud of?

I was in an anime! I’ve loved anime since I was a child so finally be in one was a life long dream/goal come true!

Q: What’s one of your major takeaways from participating in THNEA classes?

Not to only make a choice but to make a strong choice

Q: If you can give your past self one piece of advice at the start of your journey, what would it be?

Be silly. Be “krazy”. A lil whacky. A tad bit cringe. A whole lotta cringe. Have fun!
