About the event

ABOUT THE CLASS

Join VO director Josh Dean (Spiderman 2, League of Legends, Arcane, Call of Duty) for a Zoom Workshop where you will have the opportunity to get notes and direction from one of the busiest directors in Video Games.  Insight on how to approach a session, why "VO actor" should be "vo ACTOR" and how to turn a three line audition you did six months ago into a fully fledged character with little to no information about the story or even who you're talking to!

  • The workshop will involve pre-recording some lines from a script and submitting them, reviewing the submissions during class, and then abridged mock sessions. Q&A at the end of class.

Students are encouraged to participate from their home studios/use their standard mic setup if available, but it's not mandatory for this learning environment.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Josh has been directing voices in video games for over twelve years.  In addition to directing, he continues to work extensively in television, both on camera and as a voice actor.  Josh combines his experience as a performer in improv, theater, VO and on screen, as well as his own lifelong love of video games, to help performers craft grounded, honest characters with the player's ultimate experience in mind.
