ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Jay Preston is an actor who found his passion and calling on various theatrical and improv stages throughout New England. He moved to LA for film and TV after booking a role in the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean movie only to find an incredible love for the world of Voice Acting.   He is the founder of The Voice Over Collective, now in its 10th year, the co-founder of the online VO Weekly Workout and now the creative director and co-publisher of the industries oldest publication, The Voice Over Resource guide.  Aside from his gifts to the VO Community, he runs “The Booth of us” with is wife and incredible actress Megan Hensley. You can find him as the voice of Maokai in League of Legends, The Dorsey Brothers in Wasteland 3, Riggs in Stormland, Opher, Tully and Twillen in Sri and the Will of the Wisps just to name a few. He’s voiced for 100’s of brands including Microsoft, Toyota, CNN, Spectracide, McDonalds, Vital Farms, Amazon and more.   Jay’s journey into voice over has been extremely unique and has given him the ability to relate to all levels of actors. He started with nothing and no idea what to do and within 3 years was working full time in the industry and on everyone’s radar. His theatrical background with over 15 years of Improv performing and training has given him an edge. His ear for comedy and timing along with a very active subconscious gives him the edge for many of his bookings.
