What are Mock Sessions and Why Are They Important?

The Halp Network Entertainment Academy holds Mock Sessions to help actors answer this question:

Are you “directable?”

What does that mean, exactly?

  • Can you take direction at the drop of a hat?
  • Can you take direction professionally and not personally?
  • Are you willing to play and “go there?”
  • Are you confident in the booth?

These mock sessions are designed to give you the practical experience you need to be directable and maintain your skills in being directable. It also helps people learn to access different muscles quickly, while gaining experience in a professional studio, because everything is being directed, recorded, and engineered as if it were a real session.

Whether you’re a beginner or an industry pro, it’s important to hone your acting muscles in a stress-free, learning environment, and a mock session is a great place to do that!

As a lifelong gamer, they started high school thinking they were on their way to being a concept artist or a programmer.
