2024 was a year to remember—filled with milestones, challenges, and countless unforgettable moments. It’s hard to believe how quickly time has passed! It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating our 6th anniversary as a company, enjoying time with friends (and a little rain at the park). Now, we’re on the brink of our 7th year!

As time flies, we’re reminded how important it is to pause and reflect on the people and experiences that make our journey so special. To everyone who’s been with us—from the beginning or more recently—thank you for being a part of our story.

At The Halp Network, we’ve always believed that we’re stronger together. That belief has guided us from day one, and it continues to inspire everything we do. Here’s to the connections we’ve built and the future we’ll create together!

TELLING AUTHENTIC STORIES

The Halp Network is proud to continue advocating for fair opportunities and authentic representation, not just through casting but through our writing, production, and other consultation services.

This year, our projects celebrated over 15 incredible cultures, sharing their rich stories and vibrant experiences through games and media. These narratives brought unique perspectives and unforgettable moments, showing just how bright and beautiful our world can be… even when you’re battling zombies in Call of Duty or slaying gods in Dragon Age! At their heart, these stories reflect real people, and we truly believe that the more authentic stories we experience, the wider our perspectives grow and the better we become, both individually and as a community.

MAKING WAVES

We’re so excited to see the release of over 20 new games, character updates, and new chapters in 2024!

Thank you to our clients and partners for bringing us on to be a part of these amazing worlds. Getting to tell your stories through our production work, consultation, casting, voice direction, and all of our other services has been a huge honor for us and we’re excited to partner up again in 2025!

We work on all sorts of projects, but our love for games is something special, and we can’t get enough of seeing them celebrated! We love watching people enjoy the games we’ve had the privilege to work on, and we’re incredibly grateful to our clients for trusting us with these amazing projects. Whether a big AAA game or indie game, we’re thankful to be part of it all!

CREATING COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATION

A heartfelt thank you to all the instructors and students who joined us at The Halp Network Entertainment Academy this year! In 2024, we hosted over 60 workshops and webinars, providing actors and creatives with invaluable resources to support their journeys. We’re excited to continue empowering our students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their careers.

It’s always a joy to see familiar names in the credits, and it is a testament to your dedication and hard work. Whether you’ve trained with us or pursued other paths, credits or not, your efforts don’t go unnoticed. We see you, we celebrate you, and we’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved!

Our mission goes beyond education—we’re passionate about building a supportive community where growth and collaboration flourish. We’re thrilled to host our community events all year long to build on our mission.

The Halp Network team is dedicated to staying connected and engaged within the industry, which is why we attended and contributed to the following conferences and events in 2024:

GDC (Game Developers Conference): The largest event for professionals in the video game industry, focusing on development, design, and networking.
XDS (External Development Summit): A premier event for those in external development, focusing on collaboration and best practices in the gaming industry.
GameSoundCon: A key event for professionals in game audio, with a focus on sound design, composing, and music in video games.
VO Atlanta: A major gathering for voiceover professionals, offering workshops, networking, and career-building opportunities.
Games for Change: A conference dedicated to the intersection of gaming and social impact, highlighting how games can drive change and address societal issues.

Each of these organizations inspires us with their dedication to uplifting communities and fostering opportunities. We’re honored to support their work and remain committed to making a difference through collaboration and advocacy. Together, we can help build a brighter, more equitable future.

Reconnecting to Art During Stressful Times

I’m sick of news headlines…I feel like our collective day to day we’ve experienced so far this decade has been mainline quest after mainline quest after ...phew, that was a close one, let’s refuel and stock up on new gear—wait why are all the prices so high?!— oh hey look, a new mainline quest…! It’s beyond easy to feel hypervigilant about everything going on in games & entertainment…with rapidly advancing tech, layoffs, the constant analysis of what content gets made and why, the economy, how audiences consume media—you name it. If this sounds like you, you’re not alone! I also often find myself lost in the sauce! (If this doesn’t sound like you, don’t be shy, what is your secret??)

Netting in Networking

Listen, I don’t know about you, but I feel like the definition of “networking” has taken on a new meaning. I mean, what even is the concept of networking? Do I have to hand out business cards like I’m throwing shurikens at new clients? Should we have an elevator pitch ready to recite spelling bee style? At THN, we love being in a position where we get to be in the business, and ALSO foster a thriving, supportive community of various relationships within. The beauty of that is getting to know the people we get to work with as they are. People! Who just…happen to work in the same industry.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT – ARIANA

I’m a Cypriot & Greek-American actress born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Naturally, being a valley girl, I’ve always been curious about the industry! Though I first discovered acting through theatre, I was always an avid lover of video games, animation, and dubbing from a young age, sharing in those passions with my siblings. The moment I learned about voice-acting, the transition to that side of the industry was a no-brainer for me. I received my BFA in Musical Theatre from Emerson College and jumped right into professional voice work after graduating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
